The pir sensor is used to curtail wastage of electrical energy. this passive infra-red sensor detects heat radiated from moving persons / objects and uses this ability to automatically switch on or off lights. the sensors installed will detects when somebody / or a moving object ( say a car in car parking area / opening of a door ) enters in its detection range and will switches on the lights and will turned off the lights when person leaves out / the movement stops.
