A. POLISHING COMPOUND USE: Polishing compound is made from wax substance which has difference abrasive powder added to it. There are many of compound types available. Each will produce a difference result. This doeâ¿¿s not mean one is better than the other; it simply means that each is for specific purpose. The specification for polishing compound are: 1. Red / Brown (Tripoli) This compound that itâ¿¿s general purpose for buffing and polishing on soft metal such as brass cooper, aluminum Itâ¿¿s ideal for removing light scratches, imperfections and oxidation. 2. White This compound is designed to bring out high luster in aluminum, brass, copper and stainless steel. 3. Green This compound is designed for producing a high luster on stainless and some aluminums 4. Grey / Black This compound has excellent cutting qualities. Itâ¿¿s ideal for removing scratches and imperfections in steel, stainless steel.
