The raw materials undergo the obligatory quality control and are then collected in a fully-automatic raw material high-bay warehouse. This means that the FIFO principle can be complied and documented with it to 100%. Furthermore, this fully-automatic palette warehouse is one reason for a faster and trouble-free production run. In order to release the valuable essential oils of the spices as gently and as intensively as possible and to guarantee an ideal taste and appearance, a well considered technology and logistics system, which works according to the most up-to-date principles, is required. MOGUNTIA is generally recognised as the inventor of the cold-grinding method for spices. Although the patent for this method has now expired, the quality-optimising FRIOSAFE® grinding method has been remarkably improved. Then, the raw materials are collected by automated floor conveyors. Each automated, unmanned floor conveyor docks at a silo and fills the needed quantity of the relevant raw material set into the batch container, i.e. this is also the place where collecting, weighing and mixing take place. As soon as the mixture is prepared, it is delivered to the mixing plant. Without any further transfer, the goods arrive at the quality control, and are automatically forwarded to the filling plant afterwards. Once this process has been carried out, the batch container is cleaned. Also liquid products can be dosed in a fully-automatic way. The control system of the whole machinery is absolutely state-of-the-art and functions cable-free in some cases. The goods are now stored in an automated high-bay warehouse for finished products. A storage and retrieval vehicle approaches the goods, picks up the ordered product and drives to the next article. This speeds up the commissioning and the delivery process. Visitors are almost overwhelmed by this superlative technology. However, if you take a closer look, you will recognise that it's a modularly-designed material flow system. This system is not very labour-intensive. One operator and one programmer in the central control room are needed. Concerning the level of automation, MOGUNTIA is head and shoulders above its competitors. The customer benefits have always been the main focus of the project:
