Our History Holt Hosiery was founded in 1947 by Ralph Holt, Sr. as a greige knitting operation. In the 1960’s, the company added two additional facilities for sewing, dyeing, finishing and distribution to become a fully integrated sheer hosiery manufacturing operation.Holt Hosiery operated in the 60’s and 70’s as the only supplier of the west coast Safeway Stores private label hosiery brand. In the 80’s, in addition to Safeway, Holt began manufacturing private label for a wide variety of customers and to contract manufacture for major national brands.Holt remains a family owned company led by a third generation family member. The company still prides itself on the companywide commitment to service, quality, and community. Holt has been recognized numerous times by leading retailers and the surrounding community for outstanding performance in these areas.
