Code of Conduct
In support of sustainable tourism, we recommend the following code of conduct. By following a few simple Dos and Don'ts, your travel experience becomes so much richer and more enjoyable:
1. Enjoy the diverse natural and cultural heritage and help us to protect and preserve it.
2. Assist us in our conservation efforts through efficient use of resources including energy and water.
3. Experience the friendliness of our people and the welcoming spirit of our communities. Help us to preserve these attributes by respecting our traditions, customs and local regulations.
4. Avoid activities which threaten wildlife or which may be potentially damaging to our natural environment.
5. Select tourism products and services which demonstrate social, cultural, and environmental sensitivity.
6. Don't make a loud noise, disturbing both people and animals in the forests.
7. Don't leave any flammables in the forest. Put the trash in the bin provided or take it out of the National Park.
8. Do keep the environment clean. Rubbish thrown into the sea or discarded in the forest can be harmful and even deadly to creatures.
9. Don't buy wild animals as pets, or buy any souvenirs or other items made from animal products, such as ivory or turtle shells.
10. Learn about the cultures and places you are visiting before you go and try to learn a few local words which will ensure you a warm welcome.
11. Support local businesses by using local restaurants, tour guides and shops. Buy local products in preference to imported goods.
12. Use public transport wherever possible - one of the best ways to get to know the local people.
